About Our Team

Jakob immigrated to Canada from Germany with his family in 1980 to settle in the Comox Valley. Here he lived until graduating from G.P Vanier High School. Soon after that Jakob's passion of martial arts led him to move to Japan, an experience which would help to guide the next decade of his life.

He quickly planned his next adventure: touring Europe solo by train. To fund his passions, he worked for his father, who at the time was building a subdivision of houses in East Courtenay. Jakob learned the basics of road construction, foundation forming and pouring and helped in various stages of building these homes.

An early mid life crisis led him to settle in Vancouver and focus on earning a diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in the field of Operations and Production Management. While the job he studied for didn't create a spark for him, the skills learned here gave him the opportunity to work abroad and travel. Over the next 6 years Jake travelled to Central America, moved to London working for an accounting firm as a sales/marketing consultant and enjoyed exploring much of Africa, South East Asia, and Australia.

In 2011 Jakob returned home to the Comox Valley, satisfying his longing to be surrounded by his family and need to plant roots after a transient decade. Initially he took a role as a part time contractor working for a Real Estate Marketing Team and as the membership coordinator with the local Chamber of Commerce. His girlfriend ,Jasmen persuaded him to study for his Real Estate License.

Since 2013 Jakob has been focussed on building relationships with clients and creating a long term business for his family while enjoying an active role in the community. His attention to detail, work ethic, and open/honest communication style has proved to be an asset in this business.

Over the years he has established himself as a top producing Realtor in town with a reputation for honest, hard work and proven results.

"I've found something I love to do that I'm proud of. To me it's all about helping people make choices, not selling them on something. I'm truly fortunate to look forward to going to work."
