About Our Team

Jakob immigrated to Canada from Germany with his family in 1980 and settled in the Comox Valley and lived until Graduation from G.P Vanier High School. Soon after graduating Jakob's passion of martial arts led him to move to Japan, an experience which would help to guide the next decade of his life.

Bitten by the travel bug, Jake quickly planned his next adventure touring Europe solo by rail. To fund his passions, he worked for his father, who at the time was building a subdivision of houses in East Courtenay. Jakob learned the basics of road construction, foundation forming and pouring and helped in various stages of building these homes.

An early mid life crisis led him to settle in Vancouver and focus on earning a diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in the field of Operations and Production Management. While the job he studied for didn't create a spark for him, the skills learned here gave him the opportunity to work abroad and travel. Over the next 6 years Jake travelled to Central America driving from Vancouver to Panama with his brother, moved to London working for an accounting firm as a sales/marketing consultant and enjoyed exploring Africa, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, Philippines, Australia and again Europe.

In 2011 Jakob returned home to the Comox Valley, satisfying his longing to be surrounded by his family and drive to plant roots after a transient decade. Initially he took a role as a part time contractor working for a Real Estate Marketing Team and as the membership coordinator with the local Chamber of Commerce. His girlfriend ,Jasmen McLellan (now Jasmen Christoph - Score), persuaded him to study his Real Estate License which Jake obtained through the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.

Since 2013 Jakob has been focussed on building relationships with clients and building a long term business for his future family and is enjoying an active role in the community that raised him. His attention to detail, work ethic, and open/honest communication style has proved to be an asset in this business.

"I've found something I love to do that I'm proud of. To me it's all about helping people make choices, not selling them on something. I'm truly fortunate to look forward to going to work."

For the first 7 years of her life, Jasmen was a military brat with a Canadian Forces pilot father. After living in Alberta and Germany, he decided he wanted to return to the community that he met her mother as teenagers, the Comox Valley. Here they settled in nicely (it's not hard in a place like this!) and Jasmen has not moved out of the community in over 20 years. As an athlete herself (baseball, basketball, field hockey), she was grateful for the opportunity to coach and mentor younger local children in sports leagues. She currently plays with the Comox Valley Sports & Social team and loves the chance to play sports with other like minded people in the Comox Valley's great outdoors.

Jasmen was very excited for the opportunity to join businesses with Jakob Christoph in September 2014. In this partnership, she combines her passions - administration, marketing and sales. She promotes team listings, actively searches for appropriate properties for our buyers, follows up with clients and industry professionals alike, ensures organization and filing of all paperwork, and makes sure that things are running just as she requires - efficiently and with exceptional quality. After 10 incredible years in business with 3 of the Valley's top producing Real Estate teams, Jasmen was ready to own her business and use her wealth of experience to benefit her own clients.

Real Estate is in her blood; her grandmother Georgia McLellan had a very successful 30+ year career as a top producing Realtor and her father has built and sold many houses in the Valley. In more recent years she has enjoyed the exciting (and often challenging) task of renovating older character homes. Through these experiences she has gained knowledge in both new construction and renovations that now benefits her clients. Her reputation in this community that she have called home for the last 20 years is of the utmost importance to her. Jasmen strives to continuously exceed her client's (and fellow professionals) expectations. Building strong relationships is of great value to her, both personally and professionally. She prides herself on honesty, efficiency, capability, accountability & thoroughness, as well as making it a very personal and fun experience. Jasmen takes on an active role in the community that she so passionately sells, most notably as the Board's Event Director for the Young Professionals Comox Valley.
